Hi, I'm Alexandra.
A dedicated tutor with over a decade of experience.
I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mathematical Sciences, and I've been tutoring since high school—first in New Jersey, then at a learning center, and now independently.
Along the way, I've taken on a range of roles in education. I served as a Teaching Assistant for Multivariable Calculus at the University of Delaware, worked as an Instructor for college-level Math and Statistics courses, and now run my own learning center—experiences that have shaped how I connect with students at every level.
I specialize in math tutoring and standardized test prep (SAT, ACT, SSAT, etc.). I also offer support in Spanish and work with students of all ages.
My teaching philosophy is simple: no one is inherently "bad" at math. I believe every student can succeed when taught in a way that resonates with them. In school, teachers often don't have the time to tailor lessons to each learning style, which can leave students feeling lost. I focus on building strong foundational skills and adapting my approach to meet each student where they are.
Tutoring is more than a job for me—it's my passion. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a student's eyes light up when they finally grasp a concept they once found impossible. I'm here to help every student realize they're never a lost cause.
